Baby shower photos

Baby shower photo sharing, made simple

Between games, gifts and the cake, the parents-to-be rarely have time to take photos themselves. Their friends and family do, and a QR code gallery makes sure those photos end up with the people they are for.

Why a shared gallery works well for showers

Baby showers are often organised by a friend or relative rather than the parents. A shared gallery gives the organiser a simple way to collect everything and hand it over afterwards. Because guests need no app and no account, aunts, grandparents and friends can all join in with the phone they already have.

Setting it up

  1. The organiser create a free event with a name such as "Emma’s baby shower" and adds a short welcome text.
  2. Print the QR code on a small sign next to the gift table or the guest book, or include the link in the invitation.
  3. Guests upload photos during the shower or later at home. On Standard and Plus they can also add short videos, for example of opening gifts or the gender reveal moment.
  4. After the shower, download everything as a zip and give it to the parents, or share the gallery link with them.

Photo ideas for guests

You can list a few of these ideas in the welcome text so guests know what to capture.

Gender reveals, sip-and-sees and virtual guests

The same gallery works for related occasions: a gender reveal party, a sip-and-see after the baby arrives, or a christening later on. Because the gallery is just a link, relatives who cannot travel can still follow along by opening it at home, and add their own photos or messages captured as images. If you plan several small gatherings, you can create one event and share the same link at each of them, or separate events if you want separate galleries.

Keeping it private

Family events can involve people who prefer not to be shared widely. The gallery is reachable only through its unique link and is not indexed by search engines. The host can delete any photo, and every photo has a report button. When the storage period ends the gallery is deleted automatically, so the parents should download their copy. On Standard the gallery is kept for 180 days, on Plus for 365 days.

Other ways to do it

A group chat works if the guest list is small and everyone is already in it. Shared albums on Google Photos or iCloud are a good choice if all guests use the same service and do not mind signing in. Some families keep the same gallery idea for the next milestone: a christening, naming day or first birthday, see birthday party photo sharing.

Which plan to choose

For a small shower with mainly photos, the free trial (up to 20 photos, uploads open 7 days, gallery kept 14 days) may be enough. If you expect videos or more guests, Standard at 249 SEK covers up to 500 uploads with a one-time payment. There is no subscription to cancel afterwards.
