Getting started
What is Snap9?
Snap9 is a web service for collecting guests’ photos and videos from an event in one shared gallery. You create an event, show its QR code, and guests upload from their phones.
Do guests need an app or an account?
No. Guests scan the QR code with the phone camera, or open the link, and upload in the web browser. No app, account or email address is needed.
How do I log in as the host?
When you create an event you get a private host link. It is your login, so save it somewhere safe. We do not use passwords and cannot recover a lost host link.
Which phones work?
Any modern smartphone with a web browser, including iPhone and Android.
Plans and payment
What does it cost?
The free trial costs nothing and accepts up to 20 photos. Standard costs 249 SEK and Plus 499 SEK, as a one-time payment per event. There is no subscription.
What is the difference between the plans?
Free: up to 20 photos, no video, uploads open 7 days, kept 14 days. Standard: up to 500 photos and videos, uploads open 30 days, kept 180 days, slideshow. Plus: up to 2000 photos and videos, uploads open 90 days, kept 365 days, slideshow.
Can I upgrade later?
Yes. Start with the free trial and upgrade from the host dashboard at any time. The event, link and QR code stay the same.
How is payment handled?
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see your card number. Stripe sends a receipt by email.
Uploads
Can guests upload videos?
Yes, on Standard and Plus, up to 95 MB per video. The free trial accepts photos only.
Is there a size limit for photos?
Photos can be up to 15 MB each on the free trial and 25 MB on Standard and Plus.
Are photos compressed?
The original file is stored as uploaded. A small preview image is created for the gallery view, and the zip download contains the original files.
Can guests upload after the event?
Yes, as long as uploads are open for your plan. After that the gallery can still be viewed and downloaded until the storage period ends.
Privacy and control
Who can see the gallery?
Anyone who has the link or QR code. Galleries are not indexed by search engines. Only share the link with your guests.
Can I delete photos?
Yes. The host can delete single photos or the whole event at any time from the host dashboard.
What if someone appears in a photo and wants it removed?
Every photo has a Report button. Reports are shown to the host, and an item reported repeatedly is hidden until the host reviews it. You can also email us via the contact page.
How long are galleries kept?
Until the storage period for the plan ends (14, 180 or 365 days). Then the event and all files are deleted automatically. Download the zip before then.
Do you use tracking cookies?
No. Only strictly necessary cookies are used, for the language choice and the host login.
