Photo sharing for school and class reunions
Reunions are as much about the old photos as the new ones. A shared gallery lets classmates add pictures from school days before the event and photos from the night itself, all in one place that everyone can browse and download.
Before the reunion: collect the throwbacks
Send the gallery link with the invitation and ask classmates to upload old photos: class pictures, school trips, sports days. Paper prints can be photographed with a phone. Seeing the gallery fill up in the weeks before the event builds anticipation and helps people recognise each other on the night. Plus keeps uploads open for 90 days, which leaves plenty of time for this.
At the reunion: then and now
- Put the QR code on name tags, tables or a sign at the entrance.
- On Standard and Plus, run the slideshow on a screen so the old photos play while people arrive.
- Recreate an old class photo and upload it next to the original.
- Use the welcome text to suggest photo ideas, such as "find someone from your old homeroom".
After the reunion
Uploads stay open after the event (30 days on Standard, 90 on Plus), so people can add their photos from home. The organiser can download everything as one zip and share it, or simply keep the gallery link available until the storage period ends. This is also a good starting point for the next reunion’s slideshow.
Why not just a social media group?
Social media groups are useful for finding classmates and organising the event, and many reunions use one. Not everyone is on the same platform, though, and photos posted there are hard to download in full quality or all at once. A separate gallery that works in any browser, with no account, means classmates who avoid social media can take part too. Group chats are another common option, but they get crowded quickly with a large class.
Practical tips for organisers
- Create the event as soon as the date is set, so the link can go out with the first invitation.
- Ask two or three classmates who kept many old photos to upload first; a gallery that already has pictures in it invites others to join.
- Put the event name and year in the title, for example "Class of 2006 – 20 year reunion", so people recognise it immediately.
- Download a zip after the event and store it somewhere the next organiser can find it.
Privacy for classmates
Not everyone wants their school photos online. The gallery is private, reachable only through its unique link, and not indexed by search engines. Anyone can report a photo they appear in and want removed, and the organiser can delete photos at any time. Share the link only with classmates and guests.
Which plan fits a reunion
A small class get-together may fit the free trial (20 photos). For a whole year group with old photos, new photos and videos, Standard (249 SEK, up to 500 uploads) or Plus (499 SEK, up to 2000 uploads and the longest upload window) fit better.
