Collect guest photos without an app
Every extra step loses guests. If people must install an app, create an account or remember a password, many will not bother. Snap9 works in the phone’s ordinary web browser, so guests go from scanning a QR code to uploading photos in seconds.
Why "no app" matters
At an event, guests have a drink in one hand and their phone in the other. They are happy to share a photo if it is quick, and much less likely to download an app, wait for it to install and sign up. Browser-based upload removes that friction for everyone, including guests with older phones or little storage space left.
What guests see
- They scan the QR code with the phone camera, or tap a link you shared.
- Your event page opens in the browser with the event name and your welcome text.
- They can type their name (optional) and tap the upload button to choose photos, or videos on Standard and Plus.
- A progress indicator shows each file uploading, and the photos appear in the shared gallery.
That is all. No login, no email address and no tracking cookies for guests.
What you get as the host
- A private host dashboard reachable through a secret link (save it, as it is your login).
- A QR code to download as SVG or print directly.
- The option to delete any item, review reports and delete the whole event.
- A full-screen slideshow on Standard and Plus.
- A one-click zip download of all files.
How it compares to app-based options
Dedicated event apps and shared albums inside photo apps can offer more features, such as comments, likes or automatic backups. They are a good choice if your guests already use them. The trade-off is that contributors usually need the app or an account. Cloud folders with upload links also avoid accounts, but are designed for files rather than an event gallery. If your priority is that as many guests as possible actually share their photos, removing every step before the upload is what counts.
Works for any occasion
The same approach works for weddings, birthday parties, corporate events and conferences, baby showers, graduations, reunions and memorials.
Limits to know about
Guests need an internet connection to upload; at venues with weak coverage they can upload later while uploads are open. Photos can be up to 25 MB each on paid plans (15 MB on the free trial), and videos up to 95 MB each on Standard and Plus. The free trial covers up to 20 photos (no video) with uploads open for 7 days. Standard costs 249 SEK per event for up to 500 photos and videos, and Plus costs 499 SEK for up to 2000. Both are one-time payments, not subscriptions. Ready to try? Create a free event.
